OK, I have been getting a lot of e-mails asking me why I’am selling it and what are the specs: The reason I’am selling it because my dad bought be a 17″ model as a graduation present (I finished Abac university), he lives in Manchester so I will go there very soon.

This macbook is the latest 13.3″ model that you will find at any shop for 40,900 bht + I bought Moshi hand wrist protection for 900 BHT. It was purchased 1 month ago at Emporium Sukhumvit. The original receipt is in the box. The specs are standard specs for 2010 model that you will find in any shop:

Processor: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8600 Memory: 4GB RAM DDR3 (upgradable to 8 GB) Storage: 250GB hard drive Optical Drive: DVD±RW Screen: 13 inches (1,280×800 native resolution) Graphics: Integrated Nvidia GeForce 320M Weight: 4.5 pounds Dimensions (HWD): 1×12.8×8.9 inches Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Bluetooth, Firewire, Lan, WIFI 802.11 N , Multitouch Trackpad, Illuminated Keyboard, Card reader. I hope this clears all the questions.

Not everybody has a rich uncle or a sibling to give them a second hand laptop for free, so there’s a market for used notebooks, everywhere from ebay to newspaper adds, company-to-employee sales to PC shops, and of course, Internet sites. The major used laptop sellers on the Internet are usually selling reconditioned or remanufactured units, where reconditioned basically means they turned it on and it worked and remanufactured means something was broken so they replaced it. Factory second means it failed the final test at the factory, so instead of shipping it, the reworked it on the spot and didn’t sell it as new. All that makes it sound like there will be bargains galore available, but here’s the bad news.

Now you need to check for damage. First check for cosmetic issues—and then realize that it doesn’t matter whatsoever. As long as the computer still works, that little chip on the bottom corner will not be a problem. But if you’d like, you can try to get a few bucks knocked off the price because of it.

The minimum remaining warranty you want on any laptop is 30 days. That’s all you need to find out whether or not anything is busted. Remember, all original equipment is covered. This includes the optical drive, keyboard, trackpad – all of it.
If you buy a Dell, I can say from personal experience that customer service never gives any grief when there’s a hardware fault with an Inspiron or Latitude. Furthermore Dell always eats the shipping cost. They are one of the few computer manufacturers that do.
