I am selling my Nokia 5230 Ovi with Thailand GPS loaded on it. I used it for only 5 months. I upgraded to an IPhone so now I have no need for this phone. Call me at 080-458-2883 if you are interested.

Tip #8: Know the Details

It is interesting to note that mostly everything that a buyer has to know about used iPhones is often neatly spelled out in the used iPhone’s product description. Yet, so many used iPhone buyers are not fully aware of what they are getting into when they place their order. It is very important to remember that images can be deceiving, that all pictures are not necessarily an exact image of the item being sold, and that the finer details are supplied via product descriptions. If the description one gets about a used iPhone is terse or short, then it is time to ask the seller questions before buying.

If an iPhone is considered locked, this limits the carrier that the buyer of the refurbished iPhone can work with. It is important when one buys a refurbished iPhone that he or she is fully aware if it has a locked status. A locked AT&T iPhone will not work with T-Mobile, even though it is on the GSM network.

The next time you’re in Kuala Lumpur, check out the Petronas Towers. On the way home, don’t miss the airport’s ticket kiosks. You’ll find that they’re powered by iPads. Malaysia Airlines has stuffed iPads running their app MHmobile into 9 self-checkout kiosks. As you see in the video above, using the app is just as easy as you’d expect and a whole lot less ugly than some kiosk software I’ve seen.

I’ve never been an IT manager at an airport, but I’d imagine that setting one of these things up would cost less than other methods. Plus, updates are simple: just download a new version of the app.

Of course, you can get that re-create that airport excitement whenever you want by downloading the app yourself. Minus the overpriced food, crying babies and stale air, of course.
