2014 Suzuki V Strom 1000cc In Excellent Condition and Fully Customized

Hello there. My name is Huckelberry, I’m a 2014 Suzuki V Strom 1000 cc adventure tourer bike with just over 31,000 kms on the clock. I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself…

I’ve only had two owners during my lifetime. The first was a Frenchman who worked for over 20 years as a mechanic in Italy, working on Ferarris, Lambroghinis, Maseratis and other exotic cars. He moved to Thailand about 13 years ago and imported me when I first became available in this iteration in 2014. Due to me not being manufactured in Thailand, he had to pay pretty exorbitant import taxes for me.

Including purchase price, taxes, fees and accessories he says that he spent over 1 million baht on me. He must have really loved me. He kept me for 9 years but in all of that time he only put 23,000 kilometers on me. I guess that he was really busy.

Anyway, he sold me to my current owner in June of this year. I was living with my original owner and my new owner flew to Pattaya, where we lived, and bought me and then rode me back to Chiang Mai.

Since I’ve been living in Chiang Mai, my new owner has ridden me for about 8000 kilometers on 3 or 4 trips around northern Thailand and the Isan area. My new owner seems to really like me but now he’s selling me and I want to find a “forever” home with someone who appreciates me.

But enough about him… let’s talk some more about ME! Specifically, my many options, accessories and beautiful traits. Geez, I love talking about me, and for plenty of good reasons: At my heart is a 1037 cc V twin engine that starts cranking out massive torque at around 3000 rpm and continues to build throughout the rev range. My engine is a pleasure to manipulate through the twists and turns.

Speaking of my engine… it was originally developed for the TL 1000 sport bike. In that guise it produced 135 horsepower but in their wisdom Suzuki de tuned my engine for the dual purpose riding I was designed for… they lowered my output to just 100 hp. Well… remember my previous Frenchman/mechanic owner? He gave me a new ECU chip and a Thunder Road slip on exhaust that brought me back up to my full 135 horsepower capacity and then some. Now I can finally breathe free!!!

In addition, I have color matched wheels, panniers, chain guard, fluid reservoir caps and many other bits and pieces that show the love the Frenchman had for me. I look spectacular! I have an OEM Suzuki tank bag, the OEM top box and another top box that’s almost twice the size of the OEM box.

Another of my many strong points is my suspension. Long travel both front and rear, I soak up the biggest bumps and allow for smooth and tractable riding in even the roughest of terrain. I am, after all, an “adventurer tourer”. I’m designed for this kind of riding. Don’t be afraid to take me out and put me through my paces. I live for this stuff!

My current owner is pretty obsessive about doing a thorough investigation in to something before he buys it. He spent hours and hours watching reviews on You Tube about my model of motorcycles. In those reviews he found several cases of my model with over 80,000 miles (over 128,000 kilometers) with no mechanical failures and still in very good running condition.

So, you’re probably asking yourself, “If this motorcycle is so great then why is the owner selling it?” Well…. don’t tell anyone else this but…. I think that the main reason my new owner is selling me is that I’m simply too heavy for him. He’s such a wimp. 555555 I need a MACHO owner. (My current owner will probably freak out and be mortified with embarassment when he finds out I put this out onto the internet for the whole world to see. But that’s what he gets for letting me go. I’m sure that he’ll regret this decision in the end.)

I’m tired of hanging around this guy who isn’t willing to take me down dirt roads and really stretch to the limits of my vast capabilities. Maybe you’re the one who can take me home and make me delete this ad? I’m really not much of a social media type. I just want one owner who will take care of me and be loyal to me. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
