Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sound and Light Engineer (Core Function)
–
Set-up and test sound and light equipment before events in the theatre and across the school
–
Collaborate with teachers on sound and light set-up
–
Create and maintain an inventory of sound and light devices and equipment
–
Provide advice for sound and light improvement
–
Ensure all equipment is in working order
–
Coordinate with Senior IT Officer and IT Manager for any sound and light related requirements
–
Operate equipment to create the right artistic effect at shows and events
–
Operate the recording and/or mixing desk to make sure that sound quality is maintained
–
Work closely with teachers and other staff members for monitoring and recording work
IT Support (Training Provided)
–
Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
–
Provide technical support across the school
–
Repair and replace equipment as necessary
–
Coordinate with Senior IT Officer and IT manager for any IT related tasks
Qualifications:
–
Bachelor’s degree
–
Entry level is acceptable
–
Sound and Light experience would be advantageous
–
High standard of literacy in English
–
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills
–
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
